NEBULA LK008
In Nebula LK008, Kamenický interprets this cosmic phenomenon not as illustration but as a painterly equivalent of transformation. Through color diffusion and layered transparency, he evokes a space where matter loses solidity and turns into energy. The painting becomes a metaphor for the perpetual cycle of creation and decay — both in the cosmos and within the self.
Nebulae are interstellar clouds of gas and dust — both cradles and remnants of stars. Within them, processes of formation and dissolution unfold: the gravitational collapse of dense regions gives birth to new stars, while radiation from dying ones shapes and disperses their surroundings. Their composition — hydrogen, helium, and dust — produces a vivid spectrum of colors depending on temperature and emitted radiation.
